What is Hidri?
Hidri is an organization for young Eritrean youth that promotes academic success, develops critical thinking and leadership skills, and cultivates a clearer sense of identity
How do I register to become a member in the DC area?
Member applications will be made available for the month of September. Register in this time frame if you would like you to become a member. Once the application closes, you must wait until the following year
What would be expected of me as a member? 
Expectations include, but are not limited: 
  • To attend and participate in monthly meetings and programs 
  • To behave respectfully and disciplined to peers and leaders 
  • To come with an open-mind to learn 
  • To have fun!

What age range is this program targeted for?
Eritrean youth between the ages of 14 to 18

What can I expect my child to gain from this organization?
This organization is devoted to providing a support system and network to young Eritrean youth. It is our aim that your child will develop a stronger awareness of their identity as Eritrean-American and skills set that foster academic/professional success.

What is HPAC?
HPAC stands for "Hidri-Parent Advising Committee". The purpose of this committee is to help support the organization and execution of projects and programs that Hidri-DC undergo
